Geologists predict a 1 in 3 chance of an 8.0+ Cascadia Subduction Zone earthquake striking the Pacific Northwest in the next 50 years, making it more crucial than ever to prepare for the unexpected.

SHAKY GROUNDS CAFE combines interactive puzzles and immersive experiences to equip citizens with practical, hands-on preparedness education. Featuring over 20 carefully crafted puzzles designed to introduce and reinforce real-world preparedness, we offer a new way to inspire and empower people to prepare for the Cascadia Subduction Zone event and other natural disasters. After 'The Big One', disaster responders will focus on 'doing the most good for the most people.' This means that for a while, individual households will be on their own. It's up to us to empower ourselves, our families, and our neighborhoods to be prepared. But how?
By having two weeks’ worth of water, food, and other essential supplies, your household can be self-sufficient in the immediate aftermath of a disaster. This not only supports your own well-being but also helps ease the burden on emergency responders and strained supply chains.
