Things to Consider When Planning Your Event
Parking Requirements
The truck and trailer require 75’ of unobstructed parking on a hard-packed and level surface with a clear driving path in and out. Street parking may be an option, but reserving (and holding) street parking will be the responsibility of the client.
Reserving Parking
Please plan to reserve parking for the game trailer the evening before your event. Often some simple handmade signs will be enough.
Event Site Plan
We may need to assess your location due to the size and weight of the game trailer. We'll use Google Maps when possible, but an in-person visit might be required in some cases.
Power Requirements
Access to a 30/50 amp circuit is preferred but a standard 15 amp circuit within 100’ of the trailer will be enough to power the game and 1 air conditioner unit. If power is unavailable, we can run our on-board generator at a rate of $20 per hour.
Restrooms
As a mobile escape room, we do not have restrooms available for our guests. If you require assistance in booking a mobile restroom for your event, please let us know.
Travel Distance & Milage
Your base fee includes travel to and from your location within a 10-mile radius of our headquarters at Oaks Amusement Park. Additional mileage is calculated at $4.50 per mile one-way.
Player Count & Team Size
The game can accommodate teams of 8 or fewer players. We find that the game is most enjoyable when played with 4-6 adults.
Player Age
As an educational escape room, the Shaky Grounds Cafe is designed for and best enjoyed by players ages 12 and up. Guests under 10 require 1 adult per child.
Deposits & Cancelations
A deposit of $600 is due at the time of booking to reserve the game trailer for your event day(s).
Cancelations made within 14 days of your event date are non-refundable.
Game Time
One game will last about an hour but allow about 75 minutes per session for pre-game briefings. Although we recommend the full 1-hour experience, our game is modular and we can scale it to fit your time restraints and event objectives.
Multiple Games
If you would like to schedule multiple games in a row, please allow 10-15 minutes between groups so that the Game Master has time to reset the room before greeting the next party.
